Many of the candidates who come to us for C1 training are paramedics looking to gain the C1 licence in order that they can drive an ambulance.
Drivers who passed their test after 1997 no longer hold the C1 category, allowing them to drive vehicles up to 7.5tonnes. As most Ambulances come into this category, drivers are required to hold this licence before most NHS trusts will offer the training to become ambulance drivers.
We have trained several paramedics and have always been impressed by their determination and ability to pick up new skills quickly, which makes the job of training them enjoyable – so we offer them a discount!
So if, like paramedic Craig, you’re looking to advance your career and open up the opportunity to become an ambulance driver, our training can help you.
We provide a discount of 10% on all of our C1 ambulance training for paramedics and NHS staff, reducing the price to £450+VAT (£540) plus the DSA test fee of £115.
